CHRIS VOID - EASTERN EUROPEAN ELECTRIC POWER

It all started back in the days when Walkmans ruled the world - Chris Void turned every music tape he touched into a perfectly compiled mixtape. There was a tight bond between him and his passion and love for music ever since. Chris Void rules the dance floors with a true house sound, while adding the old school funk and disco sounds. He produced several bootlegs and mash-ups, including bootlegs of Fedde Le Grand’s ‘Back and Forth’ and MC Hammer’s ‘Can’t Touch This’.

MOST RECENT RELEASE

The Kenya & Nemor track 'Wanna Let U Know' turned into a club remix by Bosnian-Herzegovinan DJ Chris Void. The tempo is faster, the groove different and the sound solid. This single contains a radio and extended version. The rhythmical use of vocal samples is wicked cool and really adds explosive power to the remix. Tightly mixed and mastered by Ammar Arnautović and MickyB, it packs considerable punch. This debut release ‘Wanna Let U Know’ is an amazing art collaboration with R’n’B/Soul group Kenya and Nemor where Chris truly shows his ability of blending any genre with modern electro.

A smooth and sensuous sound of their own influenced by the likes of Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire, Atlantic Starr, Sade Jill Scott and Maxwell just to name a few and you have Kenya & Nemor. If the midnight sun had a voice, it would touch that inner chord that transforms simple tones into something so much greater. That is the vocal caliber of Icelandic-American Kenya Emil, lead singer of the duet Kenya and Nemor, who are gearing up to bring their music to audiences all over the world. Behind Kenya shines a radiant Southern moon that shrouds her softly sung melody with the perfect texture to make the sensation complete. It is Jay Nemor, a Texan songwriter deeply connected to the very roots of soul music. When they perform, the audience asks itself: "Why don't they make music like that anymore?" Well, they do and it manifests itself in this duo.

Singer, songwriter Kenya Emil's musical journey began at the age of eight by playing the flute. Kenya continues to develop her singing and songwriting skills, and has had the opportunity and privilege to work with a few of the music industry's experienced producers: Aaron Whitby, Thaddeus Smith aka Pismo, Rohan Dyer and Roland Richards. Kenya has taken the knowledge she gained from each experience and merged it with her own unique talents.

Singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Jay Nemor has worked on various projects as a session musician (vocals, keyboards, saxophone), as well as a producer and / or songwriter with a variety of artists ranging from hip hop, RnB, soul, house, electronic, rock, pop, alternative and world music. Jay currently resides in Oslo, Norway.
